Christ Our Life Message

When Christ Who Is Your Life Appears

Yeshua Jesus is not an addition to your life — He is your life. This message calls every believer to the radical, total surrender that transforms religion into resurrection.

"When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory."

Colossians 3:4

The Central Message of the Gospel

Most Christians live as though Christ is a part of their life — an important part, perhaps the most important part, but still one element among many: family, work, health, finances, and faith. The message of the New Testament is far more radical than that.

Paul writes in Colossians 3:4 that Christ IS your life — not a component of it, not a supplement to it, but the very source and substance of it. To live is Christ (Philippians 1:21). You have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer you who live, but Christ who lives in you (Galatians 2:20). This is not poetic language. It is the literal reality of what happened at the cross and what happens at the new birth.

This three-part teaching, presented as a PDF document, walks through the biblical foundation of this truth — drawing on both the Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament to show that the life of God has always been the goal of redemption, and that Yeshua Jesus is the fullness of that life made available to every believer.

Christ Our Life Message

3 pages · PDF Document

The Christ Our Life Message is a concise, Scripture-rich teaching that can be used for personal devotion, small group study, or evangelism. It presents the Gospel not merely as forgiveness of sins but as the impartation of divine life — the life of Yeshua Himself — to every believer who receives Him.

Three Pillars of the Message

The biblical foundation of Christ as our life.

01

The Problem: Life Lost

"In the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."

Genesis 2:17

The fall of Adam was not merely a moral failure — it was a death. The life of God departed from humanity, leaving a void that no religion, morality, or self-improvement can fill. Every human being is born into this condition: alive physically, dead spiritually. This is the diagnosis the Gospel addresses.

02

The Provision: Life Given

"I came that they may have life and have it abundantly."

John 10:10

Yeshua Jesus came not merely to forgive sins — though He does — but to restore the life of God to humanity. His death on the cross dealt with the penalty of sin. His resurrection broke the power of death. His ascension and the gift of the Holy Spirit make His own life available to every believer. Salvation is the reception of divine life.

03

The Practice: Life Lived

"It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me."

Galatians 2:20

The Christian life is not the believer trying harder to imitate Christ — it is Christ living His life through the believer. This is the secret of Paul's contentment, his endurance under persecution, and his fruitfulness in ministry. The practice of the Christian life is learning to yield to the indwelling life of Yeshua in every circumstance.

"For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."

Philippians 1:21

This is not the testimony of a super-Christian. It is the normal Christian life — the life Yeshua died to give every one of His followers. The Christ Our Life Message is an invitation to step into that reality.

The Hebraic Roots of This Message

The concept of divine life indwelling humanity is not a New Testament innovation — it is the fulfillment of an ancient Hebrew promise. The Tabernacle and Temple were built so that God could dwell among His people (Exodus 25:8). The prophets foretold a day when God's Spirit would be poured out on all flesh (Joel 2:28) and when God's law would be written not on stone tablets but on human hearts (Jeremiah 31:33).

Yeshua is the fulfillment of every one of these promises. He is Immanuel — God with us (Isaiah 7:14). He is the Temple of God in human flesh (John 2:21). Through His Spirit, He now dwells not in a building of stone but in the hearts of His people. The church is the new Temple — not a replacement for Israel, but the extension of God's dwelling presence into all the nations.

Understanding this Hebraic background transforms the message of Christ Our Life from an abstract theological concept into a living, breathing reality rooted in the covenant purposes of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

"Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?"

1 Corinthians 3:16
