The Hebrew Roots of the Christian Faith
This foundational lesson introduces the Hebraic context of the New Testament — why understanding the Jewish roots of Christianity transforms how we read Scripture, understand Yeshua, and live out our faith. Begin here if you are new to the Isaiah 11:1 Project.
Lesson Notes
- The New Testament was written by Jewish authors steeped in the Hebrew Scriptures.
- Yeshua (Jesus) lived, taught, and died as a Jewish rabbi fulfilling the Torah and the Prophets.
- The early church was a Jewish movement — Gentile believers were grafted into an existing Jewish root (Romans 11:17).
- Understanding the Hebraic context restores meaning lost in translation and centuries of separation from the root.
